Group Details:

• This group is for children with a diagnosis of Autism, aged 8 - 12 years old. A device is needed to complete the group work.

• This group begins Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, and runs for 10 weeks.
  Note: There are 6 weeks where the parents will also have a session at the same time.

• Each week will be 1 and a half hours in length and will include opportunities to prepare your child for life's social and emotional challenges

• This group takes place in person at our Peterborough office.

• The fee for this 10 week group is $3090.

Anxiety Management Skill Building Group

This 6-week group program will be a hands-on learning opportunity to help teens develop skills to recognize anxiety and support themselves by utilizing Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.

Group Details:

• This group is intended for teens with Autism between the ages of 13-17 years old.

• This evening group will run weekly, beginning on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

• Each week will be 1 hour in length and will include opportunities for teens and parents to learn together and separately for practical skills.

• This group takes place in person at our Peterborough office.

• The fee for this 6-week group is $1300.

PEERS for Adolescents
Social Skills Group

PEERS for Adolescents is a 14-week evidence-based social skills program for adolescents in middle and high school who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection.

Participants will learn:

• Developing and Maintaining Friendships

• Conversational skills

• Entering and exiting conversations

• Appropriate use of humor

• Handling disagreements

• Electronic communication

• Being a good sport

• Organizing get-togethers

• Handling teasing and bullying

• Changing Reputations

Group Details:

• This group is for teens with a diagnosis of Autism, aged 13-17 years old.

• This 14 week group begins Wednesday, September 11th 2024, and runs until Wednesday, December 11th 2024.

• Parents attend separate sessions simultaneously and are taught how to assist adolescents in making and keeping friends (parent participation Is required).

• Each week will be 90 minutes in length and participants are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

• This group takes place in person at our Peterborough office.

• The fee for this 14 week group is $3550.00.
