Our Behavioural Consultation Services (BCS) program is designed to enhance the overall quality of life and independence of children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities by helping caregivers manage exceptional behaviour difficulties that are affecting an individual’s daily life. Using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), our Behaviour Consultants work collaboratively with families and community partners to deliver behaviour intervention supports in line with the individual’s goals.

Meet a BCBA
Meet Brandi, one of our BCS Clinical Supervisors! We asked her a few questions to get to know her better.
Brandi
What is your role at Canopy?
“I am a Clinical Supervisor and a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) at Canopy. As an RBA/BCBA, we use Applied Behaviour Analysis to help people meet their goals. As a clinical supervisor, I support my staff team to do their best work and we work within the community to ensure that the people we support achieve their best quality of life.”
What is your favourite part of working for Canopy Support Services?
“In BCS, we support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities across the lifespan. The best part of my job is seeing people able to have more autonomy. Sometimes this process is quick with a few suggestions for making an environment work better for the person and sometimes it is slow when we need to help teach new and complex skills. Canopy is a great place to be a BCBA!”
What are your favourite things to do when you’re not working?
"Nerding out about Applied Behaviour Analysis and parenting two naughty Jack Russels.”
